National Programs
Having over 50 Chapters across the U.S., DiscoveryBound has the exciting opportunity to bring teens together from all parts of the country. Each year, three national programs are offered. These include:
- Boston Youth Meeting
(BYM - scheduled every other year; next event will be held in 2011)
Trip to Boston to tour the Mother Church, the Christian Science Church Center, and Mrs. Eddy's home and other unique sites and attractions.
- DiscoveryBound Leadership Conference
(DBLC - scheduled every other year; next event 2010)
Training conferences for teens and adult Chapter workers. These programs are held at different Christian Science camps and other CS institutions. Event includes key note speaker and group discussion sessions relevant to today's challenges along with interactive activities.
- Focus Series – Focus on Specific Interests
Ever want to meet a successful Christian Scientist in a career that interests you? Someone who can share how he/she approaches their work metaphysically? DiscoveryBound's Focus Series events offer national teen weekends that focus on a specific field of interest – for example: entertainment, sports, government, the arts, business, education – and brings together workshops and inspirational discussions with leaders in these fields who are practicing Christian Science.
