"Wow! What fun, love, joy. I felt the love and healing atmosphere-so great for our children to hear from others what we are trying to teach them at home."

About Us:

Local DiscoveryBound Chapters were first developed in the early 1960's by John ("Cap") and Marianne Andrews, founders of the Adventure Unlimited Ranches, in response to camper parents who asked if A/U could create wholesome, local programming (using adult volunteers) and positive role models and peer support for their teenage kids during the school year.

A/U Chapters, as they were called then, became instantly popular - providing monthly social, recreational, service and educational activities for young Christian Scientists and their friends. By the early 1980's, there were more than 120 Chapters on three different continents!

In 2001, in an effort to help campers (and adult volunteers) from other Christian Science camps feel more welcomed in the local Chapters and in the regional and national teen events planned by the full-time staff, A/U changed the name of these year-round programs to DiscoveryBound.

Today, DiscoveryBound is fulfilling its mission - helping teens discover their own talents, strengths and uniqueness in an atmosphere of Christian fellowship and values.
